In the field of high-precision manufacturing, Swiss-Type CNC Lathes (also widely recognized as sliding headstock lathes) represent the absolute standard for producing small, complex, and highly accurate components. Originally engineered for the Swiss watchmaking industry, this machining setup is defined by its guide bushing assembly. Unlike conventional fixed-headstock lathes, the raw material moves along the Z-axis through the guide bushing, allowing tools to perform cutting operations right next to the support point. This design completely eliminates deflection, ensuring remarkable precision even with slender parts.
As a leading supplier, Shandong AcuTek CNC Co., Ltd. operates from a modern production facility spanning over 60,000 square meters. We focus on designing, manufacturing, and supplying high-performance CNC equipment globally, supported by a strong team of engineers and advanced production infrastructure.
To deliver stable performance over a long service life, our machines are built on rigid, cast-iron bases that undergo strict thermal stress relief. The integration of high-precision linear guideways, high-frequency spindles, and double-spindle synchronous kinematics allows operators to run multi-axis operations seamlessly. By controlling heat dissipation and optimizing chip evacuation, AcuTek lathes maintain sub-micron reliability over long production runs.
Our Swiss-type CNC machines are designed to meet the strict production and quality requirements of leading global industries.
From bone screws and dental implants to specialized surgical instruments, our CNC lathes process materials like Titanium and PEEK, holding strict tolerances with exceptional surface finishes.
Designed for manufacturing micro-actuators, high-reliability valve elements, and sensor housings from tough alloys, ensuring consistent performance in demanding environments.
Supports high-volume production of fuel injection nozzles, solenoid valves, and sensor shafts, optimizing throughput while keeping per-part costs competitive.
Enables precise micro-milling and threading of tiny brass, copper, and stainless steel contacts used in RF connectors and high-frequency communication modules.
Our complete factory manufacturing flow features comprehensive raw material inspection, precise welding and machining, thorough painting, assembly, and testing.
The core advantage of a Swiss-type lathe lies in how it feeds bar stock. Traditional fixed-headstock CNC machines grip the workpiece in a chuck and extend it into the workspace. When cutting tools exert lateral pressure, the bar can flex, which compromises dimensional accuracy and can lead to tool chatter.
In contrast, Swiss-type automatic lathes feed the bar through a guiding sleeve (or guide bushing). The cutting tools operate immediately adjacent to this bushing—often within 1 to 3 mm. Because the workpiece is supported right where the cutting forces are applied, deflection is practically eliminated. This setup makes it possible to maintain tight tolerances across length-to-diameter ratios exceeding 3:1, up to 20:1.
Modern engineering demands flexible solutions. That is why AcuTek offers convertible Swiss lathes. Depending on the part geometry, operators can switch modes:
High-speed machining generates friction heat, which can cause minor components to expand and affect accuracy. Our Swiss-type CNC lathes feature symmetry-cast iron structures alongside active thermal compensation algorithms. Temp sensors monitor critical areas of the machine and adjust the motor positioning in real-time, keeping variance within ±0.002mm during continuous production.
Providing robust after-sales engineering networks and certification frameworks for industrial compliance across international markets.
